Robin Fary = Yoga, Pilates & Zumba
Robin grew up right around the corner in Newport News, she’s a graduate of Denbigh high school and has lived in the county for about 16 years. She and her husband Timmy have been happily married for 19 years and have 2 wonderful sons. She has a Business management degree, is registered as an RYT-200 with the Yoga Alliance and is certified in Zumba and Pilates. Robin has always been a fan of fitness and because variety is the key to helping her stay fit, she greatly enjoys being a multi-certified instructor. Robin says that Yoga keeps her calm and centered, strengthening her mind and body. Pilates sculpts and gives her a strong core while Zumba, the spice in her life, allows her to have fun and be sassy with her students (burning tons of calories is an extra bonus!!!) Robin also bartends at Surf Rider, is a Cub Scout leader and very involved with her kids schools. Helping others find a type of fitness that they will enjoy doing has become very important to Robin, come and let her show you how fun it can be!!
Karen Blanchard - Zumba
I started doing Zumba in 2004. I was 242 pounds I woke up one morning and I couldn't breath. I got up walked around trying to catch my breath. I turned on the TV and I heard this music. It was the music from Zumba I order the tapes from the infomercial Zumba was the most fun work out I had ever done. I was dancing which I love and having fun while doing it. Over the course of 2 years I lost over 60 pounds. I loved it so much I wanted to show other women how to lose weight while laughing and feeling like they were at a party. I became a teacher in 2004 and was the first person to bring Zumba to Maine. Now there are over 15 students who have branched off from me and Zumba in Maine is very strong. So what is Zumba you ask? Well Zumba is dance aerobics using many Latin rhythms I do salsa, Macaque, belly dancing, and so much more. It is my goal to make student feel they are at a party. I promise to make you sweat, tone, sculpt, while laughing and have a great time. Last year I had my first child and Zumba is again helping me lose the left over baby weight. I have taught at companies, School, Fairs, private parties, Seniors Retirement homes, any where great music and fun is needed. I hope you will come and Zumba with me.
